What to do when you feel discouraged

                                                        {source:  Flooded Heart}

It’s easy to focus on the hardships of each day, especially in the journey of caring for a special needs child, but I’m (slowly) learning to celebrate the moments instead. Check out my guest post over at the Different Dream for my {Special Needs} Child website to read more.

The Different Dream website is a favorite of mine because it is a “gathering place for parents of special needs children.”*  It was started by Jolene Philo author of Different Dream for My Child: Meditations for Parents of Critically or Chronically Ill Children and Different Dream Parenting: A Practical Guide to Raising a Child with Special Needs, both of which have been a tremendous blessing to me!  {I plan to share a review of both books in the future in addition to sharing of my recent opportunity to meet Jolene—stay tuned!}

I hope you’ll take a moment to read the article I wrote and take a look around the entire site while you’re there. Most importantly, I hope you’ll pass on the website information to any parent you know whose reality in caring for their child--whether special needs or chronically ill--is different from the dream they imagined.

Do you know of anyone who would benefit from the Different Dream books and website?  Feel free to share who you plan to pass the information along to—I’d love to hear!

I consider it a privilege to share my story with you, but the greatest blessing? When you share yours! Feel free to share your heart by commenting.
